Recently, the global maritime event, Posidonia 2026, was successfully held in Athens. As a key player in digital ship management and maritime communications, MarineSat, a holding subsidiary of Sunwave Communications(SZSE 002115), showcased its cutting-edge intelligent solutions and had a discussion with global shipowners, ship management companies, and maritime experts to explore the future of shipping digitalization and intelligence.

Following the UK exhibition earlier this year, this participation marks MarineSat's second stop in strengthening its presence in the European market in 2026, further reinforcing of the company's international strategic layout.

MarineSat is currently in a critical breakthrough phase of its "S2 Development Curve." During this stage, the company is rapidly shifting from from traditional communication connectivity to intelligent applications and digital enablement, aiming to become an internationally recognized core provider of maritime information service. The Posidonia 2026 serves as a crucial platform for MarineSat to present its latest S2 stage digital and intelligent innovations to the European and global markets.

At the exhibition, MarineSat’s flagship product—the Smart Video Fusion Platform—drew significant attention from industry professionals. Designed as an all-weather "Online Sentinel" for complex marine environments, the platform transforms vessel security from post-event reactive review to pre-event proactive alerting, overcoming geographical constraints and enhancing operational safety across the fleet. Its core strengths lie in three key areas:

  • Edge Computing and Legacy Compatibility: The system performs edge computing onboard, significantly reducing reliance on costly satellite bandwidth. It is also highly compatible with existing cameras from mainstream brands, enabling shipowners to upgrade intelligently without expensive hardware replacement.
  • Ship-Shore Synergy and One-Click Deployment: The platform enables seamless ship-shore collaboration. Shore-based managers can deploy algorithm rules to a single vessel or an entire fleet with one click, eliminating complex manual configurations and delivering a step-change improvement in fleet management efficiency.
  • Customizable Rules and Seamless AIS Integration: The platform offers a modular rule configuration interface, allowing users to tailor alarm conditions to their specific safety management needs. It also integrates deeply with the ship’s AIS system, embedding safety management into real-world navigation and docking operations.

From the UK to Greece, MarineSat’s steady international expansion continues. Along its new "S2 Development Curve," the company will further expand its maritime-focused AI and digital product portfolio, leveraging a richer lineup and a stronger global service network to continue driving the digital and intelligent transformation of the global shipping industry.
