AMMITEC Leaves Its Mark at Posidonia 2024: Athletic Victories, Dynamic Networking, and an Unforgettable Party

The Association of Maritime IT & Communications Directors (AMMITEC) made a strong presence at the 26th International Shipping Exhibition, Posidonia 2024, held at the Metropolitan Expo from June 6 to 10, 2024. AMMITEC, along with co-exhibitors Ulysses Systems, M2Intelligence, Fortinet, CyberOwl, and ALGOSYSTEMS S.A., showcased the latest technological solutions shaping the future of shipping.

In addition to its presence at the booth, AMMITEC stood out for its athletic performances, organizing a special afternoon party, and actively participating in social responsibility initiatives.

Athletic Victories Highlighting Team Spirit

AMMITEC participated in various sporting events held alongside the exhibition, achieving remarkable results that reflect the team spirit and dedication of its members.

• Posidonia Cup Sailing Regatta: The AMMITEC Sailing Team, with skipper George Manthos and support from sponsor Navarino, secured 4th place in the Standard 2 category, outperforming experienced teams in the maritime sector and showcasing their sailing skills.
• Posidonia 3x3 Basketball Tournament: The AMMITEC basketball team, sponsored by Prevention at Sea, reached the top 16 in the exciting Posidonia 3x3 Basketball Tournament, combining sports and charity, as the event's proceeds were donated to Syn-Enosis, the Social Welfare Foundation of Greek Shipowners.
• Posidonia Running Event: The AMMITEC Running Team, with numerous members and support from ICT Protect, enthusiastically participated in the Posidonia Running Event, promoting health, fitness, and team spirit, on a route that connected athletic action with the history and beauty of Piraeus.

An Unforgettable Party with Music by DJ Sakis Tsitomeneas

A highlight of the event was the special afternoon party organized by AMMITEC at the Metropolitan Expo, offering attendees a chance to relax and have fun after a busy day at the exhibition.

The AMMITEC party was buzzing with energy, thanks to our sponsors and community members. Food provided by SysteCom S.A. and drinks by Ulysses Systems were complemented by the musical selections of DJ Sakis Tsitomeneas from "En Lefko," creating an unforgettable evening. It was a wonderful opportunity for all members to exchange views and meet old and new friends and partners, confirming that the AMMITEC community is one big family.
