Ammitec Donations for Year 2015

Ammitec as a non-profit organization has always supported the efforts of NGO’s in Greece to offer a helping hand to the less fortunate, especially children in need.

A charity donation to the following organization was decided after our full members’ general meetings for the period 2015.

We would like to thank our members and sponsors for their ongoing support, thanks to which we are in a position to help people in need.

Following the tradition of the past years, Ammitec donates this year, a generous amount to two Organizations prevailing in the Forum’s Poll Voting which is up until 6th of December.

 STEGI THILEON: http://stegi-agiosaleksandros.gr/ at Paleo Faliro, which houses 15 girls between the ages of 8-22 (three of them in college). The majority of the girls have been sexually abused or heavily mistreated and have been taken away from their parents as per district attorney's decision, whereas parents are not allowed to see their children, while in other cases, parents have assigned the parenting of their girls to "Stegi" due to severe financial problems. Amongst the girls, three also suffer from mental illness.As per the "Stegi" representative's advice, we purchased some fancy, good quality bed sheets for all the girls, which have already been delivered to their premises

SOS CHILDREN's VILLAGES: http://www.sos-villages.gr/an independent,non-governmental international development organization which has been working to meet the needs and protect the interests and rights of children since 1949.Given the large number of children hosted at the SOS villages and also the variety of their needs, we have donated a generous amount in cash.

During AMMITEC’s latest board of directors meeting, on July 23rd 2015, we have decided to make a donation to the non-profit voluntary organization “The Smile of the Child”.

 "THE SMILE OF THE CHILD" is a non-profit voluntary Organization. It is based on sentiment and emotions but it goes beyond that and turns everything it represents into actions. As its main objective, the Organization deals with the daily problems children encounter. The Organization’s main concern is defending children's rights, not just on paper but in practice as well, providing services to children on a 24-hour, 7 days a week, 365 days a year-basis, working for their physical, mental, and psychological stability.

“The Smile of the Child” cooperates closely with state authorities (Police, the General Attorney’s Office, hospitals etc.) but also with all responsible individuals wishing to contribute to alleviating issues affecting children.

As a voluntary Organization, “The Smile of the Child” supports all relevant institutions so as to promote their efficiency in handling children’s issues.
